The need to define an instruments midrange is essential for creating a good mix of frequencies. especially with stringed instruments like guitars. Dr. Boxx is a faithful clone of the Boot-leg Dr. Mid Rich effector. With this circuit you can select your mid range frequency bump, and select the amplitude of that mid-spike. This makes for a useful adjustment to your instruments voicing. Dr. Boxx can also boost the front end of your amplifier for a mid-saturated sound. It can also pass your original signal "transparently" thanks to the high quality Texas Instruments NE5532 chips on-board.
